According to José Anbal Aguirre, general manager of 3A Producciones and director of FADJA, the event has established itself as “the most important frame for the display of the gambling sector in Latin America.”
He claims that the show’s “number of exhibitors, visitors, and commercial deals achieved” has been steadily increasing.
While FADJA is being held in the Gran Salón Corferias, the II International Gambling Congress, or CIJA, will be held at the same location.
According to industry sources, the Colombian government will receive a proposal for the country’s strategic development of the industry during that occasion.
According to Aguirre, the involvement of new companies, both national and international, helped the show to flourish this year.
The presence of gambling market operators from Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Panama, Bolivia, and Ecuador is expected.
“They will have the possibility to make deals targeted at freshening up and updating their countries’ gaming industries to the latest technologies,” Aguirre says. “Everyone will benefit from commercial deals.”
For the third year in a row, FADJA will attend the annual Las Vegas gaming trade expo in November.
Bally Technologies, International Currency Technologies, Game Time International (GTI), Casino Solutions, Gaming Solutions, Revista Casino Americano, and Camara Argentina de Juegos de Azar will be among the FADJA exhibitors in Bogota this week.

A surge in Colombian and Italian buyers has been reported in Miami.
According to data released today by the Miami Association of Realtors, home buyers from Colombia, France, Mexico, and Italy are playing a growing role in the Miami real estate market.
Venezuelans continue to be the largest group of overseas buyers in the area, accounting for 14 percent of all purchases, followed by Argentinians and Brazilians at 11 percent each.
However, new groups entered the top ten, notably Colombians, who tied for eighth place with Canadians with 8% of sales. French purchasers accounted for 5% of transactions, while Mexican and Italian purchasers each accounted for 4%.
“This is the first time Italy has climbed into the top tier,” said Teresa King Kinney, CEO of the Miami Association of Realtors, during the group’s annual international convention in Miami.
With 77 percent of realtors reported dealing with at least one overseas client, compared to 27 percent overall, Miami is the most active city in the country for foreign buyers.
According to Ms. Kinney, one-third of the foreign buyers spent more than $500,000 for a home, and 11% paid more than $1 million.
The second largest group of purchasers in the country, Chinese purchasers, play a little role in Miami, but Ms. Kinney expects that to alter with the addition of direct flights from Asia.
“We expect Chinese to rise dramatically in the rankings,” she predicted.
